THE PROCESS
- The estate planning process begins by meeting with a planner from SEPS to analyze your estate and answer non-legal questions about your estate planning. There is no charge for a consultation.
- The Legal Department of the Law Office gets everything in order for the attorney.
- Your attorney calls you to discuss your desires and recommends the best way to achieve your wants and needs.
- The attorney prepares the legal documents and deeds.
- A representative of SEPS, who is a notary, will meet with you for complete assistance in funding the assets to meet your goals (deeds, assignments, stock transfers, letters to financial institutions).
- We assist you with any institution regarding funding requirements by helping you fill out the proper forms.
- After the initial visit, SEPS will do a funding review to make sure what you wanted funded into the trust is complete.
- A representative of SEPS will contact you to perform a regular review every 12 to 18 months.
